Our Bed Story
We often get asked whether Essix, Tool Free, Gibraltar and Breton beds can be used with our different room solution products. The answer is, “Of course!” These beds may have different features and looks, but they have been designed to work effectively with all of our room solution lines.
And even though these are distinctly different bed solutions, there’s one key feature we’ve designed into these beds that will provide you with additional, exceptional value. RT London bed decks, both wood and spring, are designed with our patent pending pin channels. This allows them to be interchangeable between all bed solutions, providing ultimate flexibility among product lines.
If your choice of beds changes over time, realize the bed decks can be used interchangeably with any of these four solutions. This provides you with extended, sustainable value beyond your original purchase.

Breton Bed
Breton is a solid wood bed solution using the time-tested construction of mortise and tenon. The pin channel is captured within the post, and offers eight different bed deck heights without the use of tools. The integrated lofting peg ensures secure attachment whenever the bed is bunked or lofted.
Gibraltar Bed
This patented bed uses laminated hardwood veneer panels with a modified mortise and tenon construction, providing an unmatched level of durability. The design of the headboard offers the unique feature of customization. The pin channel is captured within the post, and offers eight different bed deck heights without the use of tools. The integrated lofting peg ensures secure attachment whenever the bed is bunked or lofted.
Essix Bed
Essix offers a contemporary look with sturdy, extruded aluminum posts and its patent pending stacking feature. No glue used here—it’s all metal-to-metal connections for durability beyond compare. There are eleven bed deck heights that can be attained without tools. No pins, pegs or tools required to loft or bunk this bed, yet there is a secure attachment at each post. Now that’s innovation.
Tool Free Bed
Tool Free is a consistent performer, offering the warmth of solid wood with glue and dowel construction, year after year. There are eleven bed deck heights that can be attained without tools. Metal pins are used for bunking and lofting.
