Our goal is to always be the best possible answer for your needs—building high-quality furniture, offering a collaborative approach to design, and continually exceeding expectations for service. As a company, it’s been this way from the beginning.

American-made

We don't go overseas to build our furniture. From initial design to the final stitch of upholstery, you’ll benefit from U.S.-based know-how. This includes manufacturing facilities located in Michigan, and Washington. This way, we’re able to serve you better and help keep much-needed jobs where they belong.

Customer-inspired design

Your input is vital to our design process. Through collaboration with our customers, we develop furniture that’s as practical as it is good looking. We can even create custom solutions. Whether it’s a few minor tweaks to an existing product or an entirely new concept, we do more than appreciate your input—we build off of it.

Sustainable approach

Our goal is to provide resourceful, sustainable solutions. Beyond standing behind our furniture for years to come, we focus on sustainability efforts such as reducing waste and harmful emissions, while utilizing recycled and renewable materials. We also believe in tapping into alternative energy sources and supporting sustainable forestry practices around the world.

Service experience

Our approach to service goes well beyond the initial sale. From day one, you’ll benefit from an interior design team to assist with furniture and finish choices, or help you visualize your new environment. Next, we ensure delivery and installation are on time, and to your complete satisfaction. And, if you’d like, we can even store your investment at no added cost until it's ready to be installed. With us, your service experience isn’t complete until you’re fully satisfied.

Life-cycle value

Every piece of furniture we make carries a generous warranty. For you, this means years of value. For us, it’s a reason to continue building highly relevant furnishings that we can stand behind as a company.

Company strength

Because we continually provide the right solutions for our customers, we have become a financially strong company. For those who already enjoy working with us, we thank you for helping us grow. If you’re just discovering us, we look forward to a partnership that’s built to last.

History

In the early 1900s, Grand Rapids was known as the furniture capital of the world. There is still a sense of pride in that rich history and a strong nucleus of skilled furniture makers that remain in the West Michigan area.

Established in 1989, RT London listened to several local colleges seeking durable furniture from a reputable manufacturer, encouraging us to manufacture a wide range of furniture products for the college and university market. We have since expanded our offering of high quality furniture to other markets such as the government services sector, Hospitality, Senior Living Centers and more.

We occupy a building that has its roots in the furniture industry. Built in the late 1800s, our building has been added to a number of times through the years, totaling just under a half-million square feet. It has always been the home for companies that make furniture, and RT London continues that tradition.

In an effort to expand our base to nation-wide coverage, we acquired Norse Furniture in Olympia, Washington, in January, 2002. Norse was a logical choice. Their approach to customers matched ours, focusing on building the right product with great quality, aimed at forming long-term relationships. And their history is significant. On the west coast and in the southwest, they have been serving the furniture market since 1972.

Now together as one company, RT London offers more choices than ever before to meet the broad needs of today’s market across the country.
