Completed in 2024, this 86-unit residence offers studio apartments and staff housing, with RT London providing thoughtfully designed, durable furnishings.
The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI), in collaboration with the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, sought to develop permanent supportive housing for formerly homeless individuals in Seattle’s Central Area. The project needed to transform church-owned land into a long-term residential facility that offered stability, privacy, and dignity for residents—while also incorporating space for staff and church use. The furnishings required were not only functional but also had to create a sense of home and support healing and independence.
RT London provided design services and furnished the 86-unit Good Shepherd House with products tailored for supportive housing environments. Using Westwood, Hudson Lounge, Jane Tables, and Melissa Anne Chairs, the furnishings combined comfort, durability, and modern aesthetics. The selections were made to support residents’ day-to-day living while enhancing the warmth and livability of the studio apartments and common areas. RT London’s involvement helped create an environment where individuals transitioning from homelessness could feel secure and supported.
